Hatcheries with welsh harlequins?

Just to clarify, I'm not trying to be picky or rude and I very much appreciate your responses. I am just very determined to breed only the best, I understand that I may have to breed certain traits and faults out of my ducks and that really doesn't intimidate me but it helps to start off with a good foundation. I see so many ugly welshies with incorrect markings that lay little tiny eggs twice a week and weigh a lot more than they should. Thank you so much for responding, not many people have!

Are they from any specific line? And what are their lay rates?

I would have to ask my friend what they lay like. I don't know where he got his from originally either. I only have the day olds. But all 6/6 hatched, I am thrilled!

I would be too! That's a great hatch rate! How big were the eggs?

Typical for duck eggs, similar to my blue swedish. Probably about 85 grams (extra jumbo).

If your looking for good stock i would contact holderreads, they just sold their breeders but they will likely be happy to tell you who bought them and point you in the right direction. Their ducks have the best conformity of any breeder who sells stock and they used to be able to straight up sell you a winner.

Unfortunately none available. Two weeks ago I gave some hatching eggs to a local school for a class project. Those may come back to me at some point. I also can save hatching eggs for you if interested. Here is a photo of some of my drakes when they were younger.

I have never kept careful records, but with 3 original hens and now 7, I always have extra eggs to give away to friend and neighbors.

Understandable, would you say that they probably lay an egg a day?

Yes, except during the hottest part of the summer and during the molt.
