Hatchery or breeder of some heritage breeds

from south carolina i'm down to these breeds of chickens .heritage Delaware, heritage buckeyes ,barred rock, welsummer, orpington ( blue), and true ameraucanas. any info. will be appreciated.

You're not going to get Ameraucanas at all from hatcheries, neither Blue Orpingtons, and it is fairly hard to find good Buckeyes from hatcheries.

So of course, go with a breeder.

There actually is a guy in SC named Gary Ramey who raises Ameraucanas, I believe he'll have chicks available in April, and hatching eggs available now. He also has true Rhode Island Reds (not the production reds hatcheries sell) Marans, Araucanas, and Yokohamas.

If you look around the auctions and the auction archives you may find quite a few people locally - Or look through your state thread in "Where am I, Where are You?"
