I recently saw a pic of a really cute white Silkie on eBay, and found out she was from McMurray!

It seems to me, a hatchery Silkie is closer to what the breed used to be "in the old days"... they can see better, and get around better than many of the show quality Silkies you can get from a breeder.

This is a thread to show off pictures of hatchery Silkies... chicks and adults... I for one would love to know what all the different hatchery birds look like at present. If you post a picture, please say which hatchery

I have some nice BQ black and blue silkies is the only reason I got some from Ideal.

Those lil critters are adorable.

Chickendales, is that a white Mt. Healthy baby? Very nice photos all.

Hmmm... perhaps it's not from Mount Healthy as I thought, I don't see Silkies on their website. I wonder if it could be from "Healthy Chicks and More Hatchery"... but that website doesn't list Silkies either, just assorted bantams.

EDIT: I found out that Mt. Healthy does sell Silkies as part of their assorted bantam package, but you can't order just Silkies by themselves.

What is this "just pet quality"... bosh... they are pretty birds.

Hi Hennypenney - what cuties! Can you tell us which seller? I'm sure they will appreciate it if more people find out about their eggs!
