Hatchery Silkies

Congrats on your coming silkies! Here are a couple of my hens, I’m not sure where the previous owner got their stock.

My Pet Chicken. That's where I ordered mine because they sell pullets. They are the only hatchery I know of that sexes them. I know there are breeders who sell pullets via DNA tests, but I'm not that worried about it to pay for those! Lol!

I haven't ordered from them before, but their customer service has been fantastic!!!

Won't know about the birds until June when my babies finally arrive! So far awaaaaaayyy.....

My hatchery Silkies looked like this

Lol, just kidding.
I got a bunch of white one's from TSC. Pretty funny asked them to pick out of the bantam bin just the one's with five toes. They looked at me like I had two heads, then were shocked there was chicks with five toes Lol!
They were the fastest chickens to start laying I've ever had, and layed awesome lots. Were good size too, rooster dressed out at five lbs. I suspect they were crossed with some leghorns at some point. Did have silkie feathers and were fibro, just were a lot bigger than they are supposed to be and layed great which they shouldn't.
I'd have to search for pics of them on here.

10 of my pitiful, but adorable Silkies, straight from a local feed store (though I don't think the hens are too bad ). They fit in quite nicely with the flock, given their fiesty attitudes.

Pretty sure my Eagle Nest White Silkies are higher quality, even though they're from a hatchery.
