Many feed stores will have chicks, late winter to fall, and their breeds offered will vary. Also, none of their chicks will be vaccinated against Marek's disease. So, most of these stores will allow you to place an order, through them, to the hatchery they use, including that Marek's vaccine for your chicks. It might be something that works for you, given that you want a very small order.

When I was planning this year's orders I went through the entire calculation for the numbers and breeds I wanted for different hatcheries.

Depending on what you order and how many exactly different hatcheries come up best.
If cost is your concern, then do this. Go through the entire calculation with different hatcheries. Use the same breeds, same sexes, same numbers and see what the actual cost will be. Different hatcheries have different fees and different prices for chicks. Free shipping doesn't mean anything if they make up for it with other charges.

To find out if your feed store has chicks, when they will have chicks, or what breeds they may have talk to the people at that specific feed store. They are the only ones that know what is actually going in there. It doesn't matter if it is a national chain or a local mom 'n pop. Using Tractor Supply as an example, each local Tractor Supply has its own local manager. They are supposed to follow corporate policies but each individual manager still has a lot of freedom to manage that store.
