However, someone really ought to tell them that the 'show quality' 'barred rock' pullet is a Dominique. Lol.

I got beat out at a show in 2009 by a dandy of a bird from feed store stock. No shame in it either! She was a white rock bantam that had every right to place where she did.... Reserve Champion of show

You’d have to hatch hundreds of eggs to get a bird like that from hatchery stock, but it happens

It does for sure. Even breeders get few that are perfect examples of their breeds.
