Hatchery with smallest min order?

Hey Everyone

I might add a few turkeys to my garden this spring and the local farm store doesn't know yet if they will have them this spring. They should know in the next few weeks, but if they don't I'll have to order some from a hatchery. Does anyone know which hatchery has the smallest minimum order? I'm not sure if I'm going to do all BB Bronze or mixed heritage breeds.

I think most hatcheries have a min order of 15 poults. If you are in the US what state are you in? There may be other feed stores someone has heard of, also lots of people sell poults locally. Here on BYC many of us ship Turkey eggs and poults. You can also try posting what your looking for on your states thread here on BYC. Also you could try craigslist.

I think I read in the warmer months (April and later) some hatcheries do a 3 chick minimum.

That is correct for chicks. Poults are shipped in larger quantities.
