Well...I have 8 silkies just placed yesterday. Tomorrow I will put another bunch in and another 4-5 dozen (can't honestly remember anymore) later this week. Including glorious fawn/white Runners from Steve and Sharon at Sands Poultry!

I did a quick candling last night and I am pretty sure I saw the beginnings of veining in some of the Polish, and small air cells in most of the eggs. So maybe my mishap with the high temps won't be as disastrous as I feared?

I candled last night too. I have 20 silkie eggs among other eggs. I don't think any of my pharoah quail's eggs are fertile, but I did see veins in some of the silkie eggs! It is pretty hard to tell, I don't have a very good candler, and they are pretty dark. We'll see how they do!

Well, let's see. I have 12 cayuga and one pekin duck eggs due the 10th-12th, then I have frizzles and seramas from DDD due the 14th, I also have pharoah quail eggs due around the 17th or 18th, then the silkies, lakenveders, ameracaunas, and ducks that I listed in the first post.
Silkies-23rd/24th
lakenvelders, ameracaunas-25th or 26th
ducks-Feb 1st or 2nd

That gets everything on my list, except for the bantam polish, those won't be for a few more months, I think!!

I set the ameraucana eggs on Monday, and the duck eggs this morning. I just today got the lakenvelders eggs, so they will go in tonight! Thank goodness I have 4 bators atm! I'll need a couple of hatchers it seems!

I have 22 showgirl eggs and 10 little. dark olive eggs a guy at my wifes work have her due on the 26th. I candled on day 3 and all I can really see in most of them are shadows and air cells. This is my 1st time so I will figure out what I am seeing a little later I guess.

Shadows is usually a good thing! If the top half of the egg is light and the bottom half is dark, that usually means it is develping. Good luck to you!

You are sooo bad! You have 4 going right now...and you need more? I think you should be the president of our hatchaholics anonymous club!

Your little man must love having all those babies around though.
