my hens eggs:
2 idk for sure
2 i think r good

1 i think NO

total of 5 eggs (1 egg dosn't hatch until the 23)
i did sneak 1 store bought egg when i cracked 1 open & saw that it was fertile:
the air sac was bad.
silkie eggs from chickenzoo:
5 of them r prob good but i not sure.
2 had a bad sac. (they were shipped)
3 had blood rings (and some was feaky i explain below)
3 was the weirdest things i have ever seen but freaky
2 i'm thinking is not fertile.
15 total.
some eggs was weired!!! it would have a blood ring AND a big bloody dark spot in it???
does a egg with a blood ring start to grow aftar it has been in a bator for a long time aftar the ring is spoted????
i am sooooo comfused!!!!!!!!

I cracked one open about like what your talking about..It had a blood ring and a embryo in it the embryo looked like it was on day 6 or 7 and I was candleing on day 10 it had died and instead of a nice pink/redish color the embryo was white and all the veining had died.​

I had to throw 3 out they had stopped growing and had died. I think they were on day 5 when they died but, I still have 24 more in the bator!!!!!!

i think my mind is trying to do to much

i want to crack 1 open but what if....
what I'm trying to say is i can't controll that not all will hatch.

Eggs are doing good. I just plugged in the hovabator hatcher, I move the eggs this monday night. They hatch in 6 days. I got to candle them yesterday night. I was sick since last sunday, and was lying on the couch for days. But im feeling better now. Cant wait for the hatch!


What do you brood your chicks in? I use a large cardboard box for the first week, the move them into an old hardwire cloth rabbit hutch. I also got a new brooder lamp, and holder.

I finally put 40 eggs into my Bator. I started collecting eggs on Feb 5th .WE kept them at Approx 70 degrees in a basket . Then put them into my Bator a few days ago. I think Feb 13th. So do then candle on Feb 20th?????

i don't have a hatcher but i use a auto turner and do i take out the turner when the eggs don't need to b turned?
