Hatches this week?? Dec 28-Jan 1st??

Mine should be out on the 31st or the 1st. I'm hoping for New Years Eve babies but I didn't set them until 2pm that afternoon so I think they will be out later. I am expecting BBS and Partridge LF Cochins from KristenH, welsummers from AussieSharon and 6 of my own mystery eggs. Trying to figure out the right humidity before I move them over to the hatching incubator tomorrow night. Good luck everyone!

I have 26 buttons just tucked into the hatcher...and another 16 chicken eggs due Jan. 3!

I have 21 jumbo coturnix eggs that are due tomorrow. I'm not sure if they are any good, so we'll see if anything pops out!! Good luck to everyone!!

Hi Shelley, Could you not tell anything when candling? I just got some Conturnix eggs and from candling to check the air cells before I set them, I could tell they'd be much easier to 'see' than Buttons.

Well, looks like I'll have little stinkers in the house after all! I checked last night before I went to bed and there were 3 out. This morning I have 12, with another that has a pip, and another that looks like it is zipped (but could just be one that has hatched already, and closed the 'door' when it left!)

I'm about to lose my mind! Today is day 21 (started at 1 am)! I've got 5 eggs left from the original 13 Lisa (DDD) sent me. Some didn't develop, a couple of blood lines days ago and 1 got dropped when candling (thanks dd :-(

So, I've got 2 rockers....and the other 3 are just sitting there.

I'm going out of my mind waiting for a pip!!! I did so well through the first 18 days, but then Christmas is over and now all I have to think about is chicks!!!

I have some bob whites due tomorrow. And some mixed chickens due Thursday. One is a dark egg from my swap partner. I really hope it hatches. The rest are from my hens. I'm hoping for a striped chick.

OK, I have a question. On the chicken eggs, should I "clean out" the hatcher before I put them in there? I understand that when an egg hatches it can emit a gas that can interfere with eggs hatching later. So if I clean the hatcher will that make everything ok? Or should I try to set something up separate for the chickens to hatch in?
