Hatches

They're not gone. I can order pairs from most hatcheries. They may not be a super common bird, but they ain't gone either
But aren't most sold not purebred Golden's ? I heard they've been hybridized so I much that theirs not much pure blood left .😞

From what I've looked at, they're pretty darn pure looking. They may not have wild blood left in them, but I'm almost completely positive they're pure.

Absolutely not many pure birds left. There are very few breeders in the U.S. that raise pure birds, but after they sell them the polutions starts.Amherst is right behind the red golden.
I don't think you can import any birds, they stopped that a few years back.Plus it is very expensive as the birds needs to be quarantined to 30 days.I don't know if they changed the price I'm sure they have,it used the 5.00 per bird per day,and you don't know if the people are feeding them what their supposed to eat,or if their in adequate pens and sanitized pens
In N.H.,Tony.

I don't mean they are gone in true form but they are pretty much
domesticated like jungle fowl, peafowl and ring necked pheasant.

There are a few breeder's that still have F1 stock they imported before the ban....a few more have F2 stock. The majority of "quote, unquote" breeder's have stock that's not 'pure'.
I know of one breeder who has imported True pheasants in the past couple of years...it's not cheap and they have a Scientific permit. Some of the birds I have, came from his stock.

Cool !
Got a question , why do some of you guys use the in N.H.tony thing ? What does it mean ?

Most hatcheries don't hatch or raise the birds, themselves. They have contracted with breeders and they drop ship the birds...they are basically, bird brokers.
