I still don't know what breed they are but all are yellow right now and i am about to transfer to the brooder. this is my first ever hatching and I'm well pleased with the out come is 16 out of 24 a pretty good rate?

We will have to try again in the spring.

Stacey, yes. sounds good to me
He/She is beautiful orp.I do believe its a she I dont see
the extra toe as I call it.
I have a handsome
mild mannered gent waiting for company.

Checked the 16 babies this morning, they are running around every where all drinking and eating and looking healthy, on a bad note I lost one guinea keet last night they are a month old and it looks like they piled up and crushed or smothered one, i thought they were old enought o handle the cool weather a little better. Well this is all a learning experence for me so I learned.

If it's any consolation to you, my cockerel tends to throw a lot of pullets so there is a good chance you have a pullet there. Fingers crossed for you anyways!

Is it the cockerel that decieds what the sex is going to be or is it something when the chicks form?
