Hatching Advice needed please. !!!

Oh WOW, That's cool! I've considered setting store eggs before, but have never done it. All the eggs here have to be washed and sterilized before going to the store shelf so it's not likely they'd grow even if they had been fertile before.

We were lucky. Which is why we will call it lucky. Lol. So I let some boiled water cool and used a very slightly dampened cotton bud to push a little of the membrane away. Did good. Chick happy. Now sleeping. Can see some more shell to the side
Lifting . Not zipping . It’s a funny chick! The humidity is 68%. I want to go to bed now. Will it drop? If so what will happen .? I’m considering bumping up a little to avoid to big a drop but is that bad for chick breathing?

Oh, sorry I was getting a ton of notifications and missed that you posted.

I wouldn't put it up any higher. Over 70% turns the remaining albumen into super sticky goop.

I've hatched at 45% It'll be fine if you leave it.

Huray!!!!! Hatched at 3.29! Almost Just as my daughter Predicted and black too!!! What’s the odds of all of this!!!! Crazy. It’s Huge! Looked like a black tarantula!!!! I had to remove shell From incubator as it was flapping about madly and no space to get out of the bottom part .There is this little red bit on its bottom but seems to be drying. I take it I let the umbilical thing dry and fall off?

YAAAAY! Yep It'll dry up on it's own.

Pictures ok? Big bottom lol. This incubator really isn’t ideal for this chic. Can’t stand up in it!. And I think will take quite a while to dry off. I’ve been told it looks like a dragon. 😂😂😂
Yeah, I had the brightness down on my screen so I couldn't see that well. :D Chickie is huge! With only one to hatch you could move it to the brooder and let it dry there. It'd give it a lot more space.

Will it chill?. I might keep it in there another hour as mostly sleeping. Can u imagine if I’d put 4 eggs in there!!! Is it a boy as so big?

Size is determined by the size of the egg. You won't know if it's a boy for a long while yet. Earliest I can tell for most in person is about a week, but they're still mostly guesses. By 3 weeks for most breeds it's pretty obvious. The boys usually have bigger and pink combs than the girls.

As long as it's not drafty it'll be fine in the brooder. I always move mine over as soon as they've hatched.
