I had more than a few side pips, they all got out fine(well, I helped a couple but they really didn't need it)....but wondering if it's due to incubating on the sides with the Incuview? So for informational purposes, the chick in the central pipped shell hatched fine overnight. I wonder. I locked 27 down and only one like that so far of 9 hatched. The one that did it was a really big egg and could have been turned less completely. My others are mostly smaller.I had more than a few side pips, they all got out fine(well, I helped a couple but they really didn't need it)....but wondering if it's due to incubating on the sides with the Incuview?
I'm not sure they get turned fully and/or consistently.
Knowing this really helped reduce the stress for me.When the pip is in an odd spot (not in the air cell) the pip that you see might be the same as the internal pip of a normally positioned chick. Which means, wait way longer than you think you should.
Actually this was a pretty long egg. It was a darker olive, couldn't see much and I had a thought to discard it as a probable double yolker. Glad now I didn't!At first I thought it was just the longer skinnier eggs,
but other more 'normal' shaped ones side pipped too.

Well, they still might come. I had 3 later hatchers that I didn't think would make it bit they did.....all(I think) were side pippers. No I'm not done, I set most of these the Saturday p.m. The ones set Sat am are all hatched.
One will certainly hatch of the 3, the 2 others I candled when helping the foot out and they are quiet and still. I'll give them till tomorrow but I'm guessing it's going to be 18 of 20. 17 of those that made it to lockdown didn't look real fresh on setting. Disappointing since I drove 2 hours each way to avoid shipping shake up.

I casually mixed them up a few times but only really paid attention to bringing the outside eggs in once. I'll give these few more time just in case.
Either way I'm really pleased, 17 out of 20 locked down is great.
