hatching around the 26th post UPDATES here

Well we turned the eggs for the last time tonight. Now we just get to watch and wait.

Shelly - good luck with the Lakenvelders - I want to see a picture when they hatch! Mine are going to live with another person tomorrow - I'll miss them

Finally!!! After waiting all day I finally have 2 chicks out of their shells, and a new pip (5th out of 11). Even better than that -- one of these chicks is a BR cross (special because last week's hatch didn't have any, even among the ones that didn't make it).

I'd never be able to start my bator in July when monsoons start... too many power outages.

Still waiting........no new hatches over night, but there are a couple of pips. One of the pips from yesterday morning hasn't made any additional progress. I can't tell if it's still alive in there or not.

I have 1 pip this morning at 8:30am and will monitor for progress through out the day. Very anxious to see how everything all will turn out. AT 9:20 pm the first pipped egg hatched and is doing well. Another one pipped at 5:00pm today and I have seen a few others rocking. Could be a long night. I am pleased but have realized patience is needed to let mother nature do her thing.
