Hatching bantam ducks

Hi there, I'm making my first foray into the field of artificially incubating call duck eggs and also some miniature crested appleyards. As the appleyards are for my friend I really want to give this my best shot for success. Can anyone offer any advice to a first timer? Thanks in advance...

Hand turn the 3-5x per day unless they are in an incubator like the brinsea, where the whole incubator sits on the turner. Cool them 15 min per day from around day 4 or 7 up until day 23 when they go on lockdown. Mist them with warm water during that cool down period. I mist them with water with a little bit of brinsea incubation disinfectant in ti. Call ducks normally hatch on day 26.

On day 23, I move the eggs into an incubator I use for a hatcher. The humidity stays around 70-75%. I hatch them out in egg cartons. I cut the top off, trim down the sides, and poke holes in the bottom. The eggs go in the carton big side up.

First don't disturb eggs for the first 24hrs. Day 1-23 temp 99.5, humidity 55% Mist eggs daily. Day 23-26 temp 98.5 Humidity 70-75%.
I just lay the eggs on their side, more natural that way and I am always afraid with my luck they will hurt their legs falling out of the egg carton. Good Luck hatching.
