Hey!
I'm totally new to hatching using an incubator... I've always had the help of a lovely hen before now. I have 12 Barbu d'Anver eggs in my incubator now and today is day 6. I candled a couple quickly yesterday because I am not very patient lol! One looked to be empty, although I realise it was bit early, but the other clearly had some little blood vessels and a wee blob floating around!
I'm so excited but very nervous!
Anyway, my question is... do the bantam eggs still hatch on or around day 21 like the larger chickens, or can I expect them perhaps around day 20 since the egg is smaller?
Thanks :)

How exciting! So glad it's going well for you.

I breed both standards and bantams, and have noticed that the bantam eggs do tend to hatch a day early. I usually get most of my babies out on day 20. You must still lay the eggs flat on day 18 though, just like standard eggs.

Fingers crossed for a fantastic hatch!
