Marans are so sweet . When we took Echo Rooster back home, I kept my girls out of the main coop for another week just to make sure no more fertilized eggs. Man, When I did put them back in the main coop you would think those 2 were a tag team. It didn't take them long to remind the other girls who was boss !

It really depends on the quality of the breeding birds. If they are not NPIP, I wouldn't go with them
