I'm getting ready to give my first try at incubating eggs! I started with just wanting to hatch a few baby chicks until I noticed a lady who lived nearby selling Blue Slate Turkey eggs for $3 and Indian Runner Duck hatching eggs for $1. I thought what a deal I'll give them a try! So after purchasing 5 of each I have them and 7 chicken eggs in the incubator. I'm not counting my eggs before they hatch, so who knows what I'll end up with!
I may have eye strain from reading about raising turkeys and ducks.
I have tons of questions! I keep trying to thinking about how I'm going to build these pens? I assume they need separate living space? How big should it be? My chickens free range during the day should I let these do this also?
I would like any advice that anyone has about having a mixed flock like this?
