Hatching chicken eggs first timer please help

:welcome :frow Humidity can be a factor as well as the temperature. First have you calibrated either your hygrometer or thermometer? If the humidity is too high during incubation the chicks can drown when they pip the air cell because moisture can build up in it. If the temperature was low the chicks can take an extra day or two to hatch. If the temperature runs a little high then the chicks could hatch a day or two early. My latest hatch was on day 25. Did you count the day you put the eggs in the incubator as day 1 or day 0? If you put the eggs in the incubator on a Wednesday then they should hatch 3 weeks later on a Wednesday. I do what is called dry incubation where during incubation I keep the humidity around 35%. During lock down I raise the humidity up to around 70%. This is what works best for me. These articles I have posted may help. Good luck and have fun...
