Hatching Chicken Eggs Question!

When in lockdown, you don't turn the eggs,right? My incubator has egg cartons with PVC pipe on the bottom, this is my egg turner. Will it be okay if the eggs are all turned to one side during lockdown? Or should they be straight, (as in no PVC pipe on the bottom of egg carton)?

Right, they don't get turned the last 3 days. I think most people lay them down then.

i have taken mine out of the holders and just lay them on their side to do their thing

If there in the cartons i don't think they would be able to get out of their shell as easily because of the carton being in the way.

I put mine in cartons, on their side, more like resting on top of the carton than in it. They hatched fine and I wasn't nervous that they would get knocked around when the first one out was stumbling all around.
