hatching chicken eggs

I don't have a separate hatcher so hatch mine right in the incubator. I don't make any adjustments to temp, but do raise the humidity in the last three days. As for positioning, you can either lay them on their sides, or hatch in egg cartons - it is a personal preference but you will find plenty of people who swear by one method or the other. I've tried both and had similar hatch rates with both.

Temperature should be same as it was in the 'bator(:

99.5 F For bators with fans
102 F for bators with-out fans

Humidity should be raised at lockdown. Some have better luck with higher humidity,

some with lower. For lockdown it's recommended to raise it to 60-70%.

As far as position goes, you can hatch them in egg cartons, or lay them on their sides,

on the bottom of the 'bator. Some say egg cartons make it hard for the chicks to hatch,

others wont hatch them no other way. Totally your choice! (: Good luck!

I'm still on my first hatch and I've read in a number of posts to decrease the temperature about 2 degrees then increase the humidity.

I always choose to lay my eggs on their sides(:

Got my fingers crossed for you! Happy hatching!
