After 5yrs of hatching these sets of eggs are getting me down

. I filled the incubator with 9 Araconas and the rest in BLRW. But after candling after taking after taking off turners I had 9 Araconas, 16 BLRW.

As of Thurs. all 9 of the Araconas hatched out perfect! It is now Sunday and the BLRW are hatching out 1 at a time, they were all suppose to hatch on Thurs with the ARAC. I'm so confused! And here is why:

They are pipping and when we candled all the air pockets were where they were suppose to be...k....at the top of the big end.....so why have two that have hatched, hatched at the pointed end, this is sooooo confusing, the other one did hatch correctly...I candled some of the last night just to make sure there was something live in them and they are but they were suppose to hatch LAST THURS. We have had no temp spikes, loss of power, water always in there....So I am baffled!

After 5yrs I am so confused...if they don't pip but r still alive how many more days should I give them? Should I pip them for them? Should I hatch them? It all sounds wrong to do and I'm sure that would not be the healthy thing to do, but geesh!!! I have a 3 alive and out, out of 33 eggs, but when candled 13 more potentials if they hatch? I to the point of aggrevation, sad, what happened.....??????

I have had eggs hatch as late as 25 days when others in the bator hatched on time and all set at time same time the same way. I have also had them pip internally and never hatch. I dont know why that happens guess its just mother nature taking care of things. I say give them more time. If they are still moving around maybe they just need a little time to finish.

I will never throw out a moving eggs, I am a sucker for potential... Thanks for the help..

What kind of incubator are you using? Still air or does it have a fan? If it's still air you could have spots that are cooler and hotter than others. Are they shipped eggs? My BLRW hatch the best of all my breeds so I really don't think it's the breed itself.

It is a still air...of course they are shipped eggs so I have put that into consideration...Hovabator..it is the same one I have used for 5 yrs..maybe I need to invest in a new one? I have another bator full of BLRW, they are to hatch WED of this wk..so I will have to see if that bator does any better..I will candle so of those in little bit and post progress on those..?

No I never have. I just put them on the turner and let them go..and add water every 2-3 days. But when I took them off the turners they got shuffled so maybe that helped? Our hatch rate before this batch was at least 97% everytime that is why I am so confused this time...We would throw out the clear ones, but every other one that had a chick in it hatched, with no problems...this is why I have the frustration...

I don't know what else to suggest other than rotating them around so they aren't stuck in a cold or a hot spot the entire incubation. I doubt that the last three days made much of a difference in the outcome of the hatch. I just really don't think it's the breed. Shipping isn't kind to any egg unfortunately.
