Is Hatching eggs right now in Florida a good idea? My thought behind it was that I could beat the market and sell these organic chicks before the stores get them. Can anyone weigh in?

Hatching any time is fine as long as you have the ability to brood the chicks and keep them as warm as they need to be. In Florida I don't think you'd have a problem with that :) I'm getting ready to do some hatching and I'm in cold VT.

Thanks everyone! For some reason, I just got all of the messages

I'm in town. And we can pretty much that you're around. however this time of year I'm only using Broody hens to increase my flock. the little mamas do a good job of keeping their babies warm.In the springtime I'll fire up the incubator
