Hatching Chicks

My aunt has a couple of speckled Sussex. They are beautiful birds!! Thanks for the information!

As stated above, Orpingtons, Australorps, Easter Eggers, and Wyandottes are all good breeds for you. My personal favorite is the Wyandotte. Mine have been good layers, with one laying just under 300 eggs in her first year. They continue to be good layers, even though they are now nearly four years old. Mine have been personable and docile, with the most personality of all my birds.
