hatching cracked eggs

This is my first hatch, so learning as I go, I have 2 eggs that cracked about a week ago, I sealed the cracks with unscented candle wax, today is day 19. Ariund midnight they both had a small amount of blood seep from the cracks. Is this a sign of internal pip? I also have a double yolk so worried about if and when to start helping that one. Do I pip the smaller end once the other pips?

Are you sure that's blood? It could be rancid liquid seeping if the embryos are dead. I would check immediately, candle the eggs, and remove them if the embryos are dead. Those eggs could be about to explode.

It didn't seep until around midnight, it looked like blood, kinda dry now

Wouldn't it smell if it were dead? I candled right before and they had chicks.

Eggs shouldn't be "seeping" anything. I'd be inclined to think bacteria has invaded and you're going to have a mess. And no, they don't always smell.

I candled them, chicks seem ok, I am not sure what to do ugghh
