Hatching day advice! Should the eggs be moving?

We are good at hand-holding so just hang in there. The pip is a good one, she has plenty of breathing space. Now is the really hard part for us humans....patience! :D

C'mon little chickies. :ya

Ok, tell us about the eggs, what breed? Where did you get them? Do you have the parent flock? Is this your first hatch?

So true! What I LOVE about BYC:love

We have a baby!!! I'm pretty sure this is my full speckled sussex. My Too is speckled Sussex and I have a variety of hens. I know the blue egg is my araucana is gone now(hoping her egg hatches). I have amberlink dekalb, golden comets, buffs, RIR, red leghorn.
This is my first hatch, but I've had baby chicks before.

She seems very tired, is that normal?

If I don't have another one pipping should I remove her when she's dry.

Awwww...love it. Yes, tired is normal. Once she's dry and fluffy, if no more have hatched, I would move her. But others may have different opinions on that. So wait for others and do what works best for you and her.:love
