Yipee! I had my 1st baby blue chick just hatch a little while ago,more hopefully will follow......come on pea babies...im patiently waiting on u

Hi, just joining you! I'm on day 12 of incubating standard bronze turkey eggs in my Brinsea Mini Advance. These eggs were shipped and this is my first hatch. Not a good combination, I know.

I think the eggs were shaken up pretty well during shipping as all the cells were detached and two were cracked. On day 10 I had 2 live eggs and two dark, questionable ones (dark, mottled shells make them difficult for a newbie like me to candle). One had a blood ring which I threw out. The rest were clear. The instructions say not to leave only 2 or 3 eggs in the incubator - not sure of the reasoning behind this, maybe helps temp stay level? - so I am leaving them all in for now. Send good thoughts to my two shipping survivors that they stay that way!

I am had 5/5 chicks hatch on Sunday the chicks are now 3 days old and mum is still looking after them but when I take her off the babies so I can play with them she will fart like mad it is very funny but dinky at the same time

we also had one baby hatch last night on day 19 none the less! 3 more to go..

it was soo exciting. we had never seen this happen before. we named the chick "number one".

a few days ago most of the eggs died because the temp was at 90 deg,. and were not sure for how long but 4 little guys are still going out of 10.

Hi Everyone - and welcome !

Personally, I have had some issues with shipped eggs - it was a slight experiment but there were some problems with the eggs developing. Of the 22 eggs, I have still got 15 still in the bator, although of those only 5 show correct formation inside the egg once candled. Still hoping on these 5!!!

Of those 5, they may be any of these breeds - Welsummer, Buff Orpington, Lavender Orpington & Cream Legbar. So hoping they can make it through.

The other eggs showed sign of progress - but never at the right time and look very strange when candled.

Anyways, it's day 19 so the 30th is my big day.

I had 5 hatch on Sunday but sadly one died today dew to an accident with one of my dogs mummy didn't do her job and pretect it so a broken neck it had

IT WAS SOOOO SAD any way I will say it again
