Yay!! We finally have a chick! Got home from work today and heard cheeping in the 'bator. It's only day 20, but after 2 other failed incubations, it's so good to finally get a chick hatched out. Now I just hope we get a couple more in the next couple days so it isn't all alone. I have no idea what kind of chick this is, since we got a batch of mixed bantam eggs. At this point it doesn't really matter though, just happy to see a fuzzy in the 'bator!!

No more hatching here, think I'll have throw the rest of the eggs out tomorrow and call it for the season.

Thanks Sclark! Sorry your hatch is done. We had two more pips this morning, so I am hopeful that we will get at least a few chicks.

We put our one surviving egg into lock down yesterday.when I candled yesterday I could see his foot just under the air sack. Cross your fingers he flips and pips. It is our only survivor of 12 eggs, and this is my first hatch ever! We are at day 19

Good Luck to you!! This is our first hatch too. The kids lost interest when I accidentally cooked the second batch of eggs in a row, but now that we are starting to get chicks hatching out the kids are getting excited again. I've been nervous the whole time. Lol I am one of those people leaning over the 'bator every few minutes now that I see pips happening.

Hello i have a little giant incubator and have not had very good hatches ( probably my fault though) but still love incubating the 3 times iv done it.

My avg is 1 per 4

I just wanted to say thanks to everyone for all your help. Our 12 silkie chicken eggs did not hatch. God took them. We will try again!
