Hatching Duck eggs....I messed up...UPDATE.....#1

One more day to lockdown and getting very nervous. My last 2 ducklings died before breaking the internal membrane and have have since found that the humidity guage on the incubator was way off the mark. I've adjusted it and added another guage and thermometer. A couple of my eggs seem to have small air cells so have lowered the humidity.
I put the eggs in the incubator on 8th and am wondering if I should move them to the lockdown incubator on 4th or 5th or wait for internal pip.
I get confused about when to start counting 25 days.

24 hours after the day you put them in, that's day one....
Humidity should be at about 40 or 50 depending on your location during setting and then 60 for hatching...

Ok so tomorrow it is. Just trying to get temp and humidity in hatch incubator right now. It's a bit of a job as all my guages differ!!

Just candled my eggs and they're not looking day 24 yet. Air cells all look good now though so have put the humidity back to 40.
Just wondering whether I should delay lockdown or go ahead.
It's winter here in oz and I've struggled to keep the temp up to 99.5 for the whole time.

So exciting but so stressful. I was up at 2am checking my incubator temps.
I drive my husband nuts.

Yours take 28 days to hatch...Lock down on day 26....
