Hatching Duck eggs....I messed up...UPDATE.....#1

No, Bouncer is smaller. It's just the photo.....Bouncer is Big, just not really BIG!!!

You will love Ducklings once you get started! They are great!.......

I am thinking he is from my Saxony hen? I will know more once the white eggs hatch on February 20th....Bouncer from a green egg......If he is from Daisy? I will be so happy! Not that I don't love Petunia too.......Just then he would be from my very first Ducks I ever kept from babies.....

I've had ducklings already, and I did love them. They passed in June of last year (2016), and it was the weirdest thing. Aye (I-A) disappeared first - we thought she had run away (Even though this is very improbable, as she would never leave Orrun (O-roo) and she had nowhere to run to​.) But we weren't really thinking straight, and there was no blood, or feathers, etc. Then Orrun disappeared the next night, feathers and some blood. I loved them, they were such sweethearts. They used to tap on the glass door for treats from u when we weren't outside! We haven't had ducks since, should be getting some soon.
I'm so interested to see how Bouncer turns out! Mixes are always adorable, and so intriguing to see how one duck merges with another!

I loved your story.....how sweet....mine tap on the door and wait for me when I run inside.....

Thank you! They were really sweet, and I loved it when they started tapping on the door for us to come out - except, once, to my mom's protest, I decided to let the ducks in instead of me going out... Let's just say, I did end up outside... Cleaning the rug...

I sold Ducklings for a lady and then this past spring D.W. got really imprinted to me...He was a crier....lol....I was really sick so did not sell them as I was supposed to do and well, here we are today! ...My Ducks are so precious to me... My feathered puppies.
I am selling all my Chickens to make a better life for all my Ducks.....I Love Ducks!!!

My Husband thinks I am crazy but he drove me this way!! .....lol.....Haha!!!

Ducks are great, and I shouldn't be saying this on a chicken forum, but, yes, they are better than chickens, imho. They are very personable and silly and Cute (Even when they are all grown up!!

Ducks are fantastic and very interested in people and are like feathered Puppies all their lives....Mine all love me, just certain ones do it from a distance.....lol

My little white Call hen is inside due to treading injuries tonight and until she heals....Bouncer and Penelope met!....Penelope was interested until Bouncer was going to march into her crate and introduce himself...lol.....Penelope turned her back and hid from my pushy monster Ducky....I closed the kennel door and he rattled the door and Peeped his head off at her.....She was not impressed......!
Hopefully tomorrow they like looking at each other? .....lol........

Bouncer's color is Blue Fawn, also called Blue Mallard... Buff or Saxony could be mom as they both carry blue... if Bouncer is a clean blue fawn color, then the Call drake is daddy... if the claret color extends along the sides, then the WH drake is daddy... since the Call would be daddy and not the mom, size would be larger like mom anyways...

These are my Call crosses... mom was a Rouen mix, dad was a Call... they're blue fawn... if Bouncer is a drake he will look like the 2 on the left, if a duck then she will look like the 2 on the right...
