Just venting......
The Lady that was buying four of my Poopers is not a lady, she is 14 and thought she could come here with her boyfriend to pick up the Ducklings for her Mom...I asked to speak to the Mom because I was thinking it was a young person the last text I got.....She admitted she was told absolutely no way was she getting Ducks by her parents.......Holy Cow...Four of my babies could of ended up in the wrong hands.....

Makes me mad........

Oh wow. Thank goodness you stopped her. What would have happened if she bought the ducklings and went home to her angry MomLady? Results would likely not end well.
See, I was smart. I got my parents to agree about getting ducks

There's nothing like a fourteen year old thinking she can flex her hormones and bully her mom into anything she wants...or doesn't. I know, I had one once. She didn't outgrow her need to flex until age 30-ish. Plus, she's prolly telling her friends what a mean old crone you are (anyone over the age of 19 is old and mean). Ah, the days of children and drama....I don't miss the drama. Nope, Not at all.
BTW, my picture is of Hubby and his ever present doxie, if you have a doxie, don't leave home without it.

It has been confirmed........

The lady I got My Drake from finally contacted me.....He is a Pure Appleyard.......The Buff Hen is a Pure Buff.......She stopped talking to me when I stopped selling Ducklings for her.....I kept the three she brought me to sell the last time and she got a bit choked because I did not want to sell anymore.......Anyways.....The Appleyard hen was a rescue that was attacked by Fox.......That lady who rescued them was as clueless as me!
All I knew was she was a Duck that needed my help......I sent her a photo of Petunia and she said yes, she is a Appleyard Hen.......


So Ravyn was totally correct.......My flock is a breeding pair of Silver Appleyards, a Buff Hen and my Three Calls.........


Are you all confused?....... She actually congratulated me on my Ducklings I hatched.......

I have gotten another couple of calls on my Duckies.....Although the one lady asked if I would meet her halfway and she lives 2 hours away from me....she wants 2 Ducklings...for $20 dollars Im not wasting gas to drive that far........lol.......I still have 10 super poopers!.......


It's so funny how scared Bouncer is of these Ducklings.....They are scared of him and he is terrified of them.....He runs away so fast flapping his stubby wings and Peeps his head off........lol.......


I will pick my two today and start bringing them out to visit Bouncer more often so they get used to each other......

Isn't it hilarious how they are so scared of each other especially the older ones scared of the young ones. I have seen my adults run away terrified of lil ducklings running behind them.

That is so funny, them being scared of each other.
Once you have picked the two you definitely will keep. Would it be possible to house them beside each other so the will get used to seeing, hearing each other. Maybe they will learn the other is not going to eat them.

We are building an outside brooder in my garage this weekend for Bouncer and the Ducklings...It will have a wire divider so they can see each other till they are all buddies and then it will be removed.......


Soon they won't be scared......
