Has anyone had any luck letting their ducks hatch their own eggs? I have two welsh harlequins and two fawn and cream runners. My Indian runner is the one sitting on the eggs. My drake is a gold welsh harlequin. if all goes well I should have some crosses. May 14th should be when the hatching should start. I feel like a nervous mom waiting. My girls are a year old and this is their first time. Also do I need to remove my drake when the ducklings hatch?

Keep an eye on the drake when the ducklings hatch. In my experience most drakes were not aggressive towards ducklings, but some can be. Have a plan 'B' in mind just in case.
Thanks, I will make a plan B.

We actually had a chicken hatch a couple of our duck eggs and the drakes paid them no mind. The baby ducklings were far faster then the drakes but better safe then sorry..right!
