Hi, i have about 15 mallard and pekin duck eggs that i am trying to hatch. I started out with about 35 but some went bad. It is the 35th day of incubation and they are a week overdue. I have read things that said that if your incubator keeps the eggs cooler they can take longer to hatch. We have a cheap incubator so i am thinking it doesn't keep the eggs warm enough. Anyways, i candled one this morning and you can see it moving in the egg, then i held it up to my ear and tapped on it and i could hear it peck at the egg. I am scared it will die in the egg if i cant get out and i don know if there is anything i can do to help the hatch? There are more than one egg that are pecking, so far i have got two peckers but i didn't check all of them. I just want to know if i can help them out in anyway?

Hi. OK this helps.
If you still see & hear life, gee I think that with the ones that haven't pipped or broken through yet I would candle to see if the chick is working through the air cell.
Have you looked at the thread called "assisting hatching step by step guide?
