Hatching duck eggs

I recently bought 8 “fertile” duck eggs but only two were found to have ducklings in, recently one had died so I only have one left alive, it is due to hatch tomorrow as it will be its 28th day of incubation, I haven’t seen an internal pip because I’m scared to candle it and I haven’t heard any chirping either, should I be worried?

Is you incubators' thermomater and hygrometer calibrated? When's the last time you candled?

Try candling from just off the side, to see any veins.

I’ve candled it again and seen veins but I’m worried that it’s not pipped through the air sack yet and I haven’t heard and chirping

Definitely not. You won't always hear the peeps before you see the pips. Give it time and have fun watching.
