Hi I’m new to this forum. Im on day 27 of incubating my duck eggs. One looks different to the rest. It has no veins very patchy and dark as u can see in the pic. I’m not sure whether to remove??? One has veins but I cannot see moving anymore. And one has veins that I can see moving around.

Since it’s day 27, the ducklings get so crowded that it’s sometimes harder to see them move. But they should be starting to internally pip - stick their bills into the aircell. Have you been able to see that?

Usually when I have eggs with darkening patches like that, the egg is dead. The only other thing I’m thinking is it’s possible those are bruises from the duckling trying to pip. But it doesn’t really look like it.. If you candle that egg, do you see anything inside the air cell?

I will send a pic of it when candled. I feel like I can see a shadow but cannot be certain

You can also hold it close to your ear and listen for quiet clicking. When the ducklings internally pip, they start breathing and it sounds like clicking
