I bought some Blue Swedish Duck eggs to hatch. The person I bought them from said not to turn them for 3 days? I have the humidity at 50%. Should it be higher? I started them yesterday.

Humidity 50 - 60 % for the main incubation is fine. I have mine at around 55% then up to 80 % at lockdown. Turning however.... its very important all the way through- I think maybe somewhere along the way someone has mixed up not turning for the last three days as I have heard this before. At different stages of incubation incorrect turning can result in different problems- I always turn eggs from day 1 in my bator- which is set at turning every four hours.

Okay- thank you. This person hatches out A LOT of chickens and ducks, but he said not to mess with them the first 3 days.
Also not to worry if they are not hatching on day 28- that they are not as predictable as chickens and can be several days late.
