I'm an experienced chicken egg hatcher. I have a little giant still air incubator. But since we have a big pond I want to try and hatch ducklings. I already have a African goose and a Rouen drake but I love hatching ! I've never hatched duck eggs or anything other than chicken eggs. How do I go about the incubation process? What temp should it be? How long should they be incubated? Things like that. Thank you for any help.

Same temp as chicken eggs, 99.5. The incubation period is 28 days instead of 21, and lockdown is day 25 instead of day 18. Humidity is usually a tad higher, and a lot of people recommend 70% at lockdown, which is what I do and it works well for me. Other than that, same as chickens. Good luck!

Yep, some people do that. I never have, but for others it works great. I believe they mist them once a day when they candle. You could ask over in Thread Formerly known as hatch day is today, I'm sure someone in there does it and knows more about it.
