Hatching Ducklings, they are dying please help!

I just found out that the Peking duck I recently rescued has been fertilizing my khaki Campbell's eggs I woke up this morning and found a dead baby duck in my garden. I searched everywhere for a nest and found it deep in the bushes she has ten eggs in there!! I have no idea what to do!!! I've never hatched eggs before and I do not want them to keep dying on me! Should I take them from her? But then what? Why did the baby duckling wander so far from the nest!? Is my khaki Campbell unfit to be a mother? If they do hatch should I feed them mash? I'm so lost, should I leave them with her? please help !

I'd put a fence around the area where she has her eggs. I'd just watch and wait until you see another duckling and then if you feel like the duckling is in danger then you should take it away and put it in a brooder with a heat lamp. If you have chick starter then that'd be the best thing to feed them. It might be a day or 2 until more eggs hatch. If you pick up an egg does it feel like it's moving or do you feel tapping?

Mother ducks are unpredictable in their behavior. The duckling may not have wandered, it may have been tossed.

You can try to finish incubating them (requires a clean incubator and know-how), you might consider getting ahold of a game camera and monitoring what is going on, removing ducklings as they are hatched.

Fencing off the area is a wise idea. Sitting ducks and ducklings are easy, easy prey.
