This is the first time I have ever incubated eggs. I had 14 duck eggs being incubated in a still air incubator. I have had 10 of them hatch. There are two left that have externally pipped yesterday. I also lost two due to one dying in the egg and one that was first to hatch that didn’t absorb the yolk sac and passed away. I was wondering how other peoples hatch rates are and if they assisted with a hatch or not.

You got a 71% hatch rate if you got 10 out of 14 thats pretty average

There are so many factors that can change hatch rate

Humidity consistency
Heat Consisitency
Heat level
Age of eggs
Quality of parent ducks

Some ducks will lay 65% good hatchrate and some may be 85% good

Sweet babies and congrats on a successfull first hatching!

Good hatch rate! Most the time if you don't help hatch you will get around 60% on Swedish. If you do help carefully you can get around 90%(It's a myth that they all die when you help). But that hatch rate is very good for Swedish!
