Hi guys,
I thought I’d post my 6 Mini Silver Appleyard duck eggs I’m incubating to show progress through their journey. They are currently on day 5. Days 1-3 I could only see when candling the disc getting bigger and it’s movement as the egg turned in the candler.
The first picture is at 56 hours of incubation. I hope people find this thread helpful 🙂

Congrats! How are they progressing?

Thanks, They are currently on day 15, all are progressing, I use a Brinsea ovascope to look at the eggs and can see a lot of movement and thick veins. I’ve been misting and cooling the eggs since day 10.
I’ll get a picture tomorrow when I candle and then again.

I never managed to get any further pictures of the eggs :(
As of 12pm today UK time all 6 eggs have gone into lockdown and I'm pleased to say 5 of the 6 have internal pips already and the other must be close to it as saw their beak moving close to the air cell just before locking down.
Fingers crossed all 6 of these mini silver Appleyard ducklings make it :)
I can hear pecking and chirping as I write this :)

Quick update, it will be day 27 in 6 hours time (UK time) one egg externally pipped late on day 25 (no progress as of yet with that one but lots of rocking and peeping) 3 externally pipped yesterday afternoon and the last 2 finally externally pipped during the night. Should they all hatch this will be the 2nd time I’ve incubated duck eggs (did calls the first time round) and got 100% hatch rate :)

First picture is the two that pipped recently

This little one literally burst out of the egg, only looked like they’d zipped a quarter of the egg. Hatched a couple of minutes after the first
