Hatching early???

Can that happen? I have some eggs in the incubator and I they're not supposed to hatch until the 4th but one has pipped!

Oh yeah Ive had chicks hatch a week before there set due date..idk why it happens but it does. Too high of heat or whatever the case...enjoy the precious bundle when it hatches completely!

Once I had a chick hatch 3 days before the "due" date, but the rest hatched on time. I guess the one was very eager to be out.

It's fairly common. Especially if your box ran a few tenths high.

I'm assuming it's a mix between my silkie hen and my golden sebright rooster but it's so cute. There is 4 other eggs in there that should be hatching soon, too!
