I ordered hatching geese eggs in the mail. They came and I started hatching. After about 10 day I determined they were dead. The eggs where also starting to seep and smell at this point. I opened the egg in a ziploc bag and the yolk was solid and looked hard boiled. I have hatched hundreds of eggs and this has never happened. I informed the seller of above and they sent more. This time one egg was seeping on arrival and after 3 days another egg starting to smell sour. I took it out and opened and this egg too was like a hard boiled yolk different incubator even. Why is this happening? Has anyone else had this happen? Am I just getting shipped old eggs?

Are you sure your incubator temps are right? Do you have a secondary gauge for temp?

It's possible the incubator is cooking them, but for it to be 2 that's pretty odd. Maybe they're going through temperature changes during shipment that is cooking the eggs?

I would go through another seller and just request a refund on the eggs.
