I know what you are saying Wise Woman, I also work in reatail.

But I would think expired auctions would be different. You know its an auction and a one time thing. But yes I can see what you are saying. I was even contemplateing sending them at that price because I can see how someone could get confused UNTIL they sent me a really nasty and rude email. I think that is just uncalled for. A little niceness goes a long way in my book!

I guess I just needed to vent a little and wanted to hear if anyone else had a similar thing happen to them. I like to hear all the wierd and funny stories.

You would think, but the more I deal with the public, the more I am convinced they don't think! LOL!!!

I work for a water utility and it totally amazes me what people come up with. At least 2 or 3 times a year we have someone who leaves their home (I am in a mountain resort community and about 60% of our residents are part timers) doesn't turn their water off, develops a leak and then goes berserk when they have to pay the bill. They feel we should just eat it for the thousands of gallons of water they used because they were too lazy to take a couple minutes to turn off their water. Drives us nuts! Our board of directors finally had to make a resolution just for this instance because it happens so much. They feel that water used from a leak isn't their "fault" and they shouldn't have to pay the bill. Anyway, off my soapbox. Hope you get a lot of good stories!

omg LOL Yes I agree sometimes people just dont think or seem to see the obvious. I know there have got to be other stories out there.
