hatching eggs fs

lannabun - I would not change your price if you want fair value for your eggs and you know they are fertile. Unless you want to give them away. I just paid $14.75 to ship to TX. Even if I only charged $15, with paypal fees, I'd be in the negative and that doesn't even include shipping supplies and gas prices to run the eggs to the PO. I don't think your price was unfair at all. Now you can offer adjusted s/h for closer shipments, which could be discussed offline with interested folks. But that's up to you. Good luck with your sales.

I agree with hinkjc and speckledhen to be fair( to yourself) and to ship them right you must purchase materials ( what ever you use ,example pillow stuffing, box, shredded paper, and bubble wrap) and that is your cost and then there is the little thing of people living in different shipping zones what may cost me $10.00 to ship to say Kentuckey when it may cost you living else where $15.00 and that dose make it hard to set a price but as you get orders you can check with the post office and find out for sure .If i did have the room i would buy some for the original price (they would make a good mix for egg layers.
SO THIS IS JUST ME BUT IF YOU REALLY WANT THEM YOU SHOULD BUY THEM AND IF YOU DON'T YOU DON'T !!!! i WOULD RATHER SOME ONE OVER CHARGE ME FOR SHIPPING AND THEN REINBURSE ME LATER THAN TO CUT CORNERS AND SHIP TO ME AND RECIEVE A LOT OF BROKEN EGGS

IF YOU REALLY THINK OF IT WHICH WOULD YOU RATHER HAVE?????????

well good luck at 25.00 i offered delaware cuckoo maran cross here at 18.00 adoz including shipping and never sold 1 doz

I think it depends on what you are selling, as far as what the demand is. While shipping may be expensive, it costs the same to ship purebred eggs as it does mutt eggs. I'm pretty sure that's why someone suggested you hatch the eggs yourself and sell the chicks, people buy chicks, mutt or not! And you could actually probably make more on chicks, provided you have a market for them and don't have to ship.

Good luck!

If you have what someone wants when you post it for sale, they'll buy it. If they want it, but dont want to pay that much, they may try to talk your price down. You still have the same shipping costs, packaging costs whether they're purebreds or crossbreeds. And also, to send a dozen doesn't cost that much more than a half-dozen due to the packaging costs.
To wrap eggs the way I do takes the better part of an hour sometimes, especially if I have more than a dozen to ship in that one box. My time is worth a few pennies. And really, that's all you'll make anyway, maybe enough to pay for part of their feed.

really i would like to thank the few of you who have helped me ..
2nd ) awww well you know i am hatching the eggs ... just thought if anyone out there like me who loves to hatch and wasnt geting eggs would like some so to say .. me i know in the end i can take what i dont want to sale barn ... it might make me more money that way .. to help in feed or what ever ..
