Hatching eggs, I need to know everything!

Chicken wire or something similar but be careful as it gets hot!! Have you considered what you will use when they get too big to fit under a desk lamp? They grow quickly and will need more room under the heat source.

This might sound stupid but I've read somewhere on here about they don't need light all the time, so I was wondering what about an waterproof electric heat mat for dogs? Would that work Instead? (Mat rolled up like a tube shape? ) X

That's good new, I don't like the idea of a lamp being on 24/7, would make me a bit scared of a fire, but a blankt wouldn't scare me too much,

great thread btw thank u x

Do you know what. I'm going to get a brooder plate. I know they were designed for chicks and they are reliable. And they look cute too

but the one question I can't find an answer to is how do you change the temperature?.
And instead of building a wooden brooder box would a cardboard box do? And after they have hatched and dryer off how long do I have to wait to hold one?x
