I am planning on concentrating on 2 breeds. RIRs because they are good layers and there is always a demand for them in my area. And they are my daughter's favorite- this will actually be her flock. I figured we can sell the eggs for eating, or hatch them and sell the chicks locally, or sell hatching eggs. We will be getting our breeders hopefully from a good breeder with beautiul dark birds.
Then a bantam breed for my girls to show. Still aren't sure about which breed of bantie though. Our top choices are banty barred rocks, light brahma, black Old English Game, or cochins. We will probably sell those hatching eggs.
