my duck is sitting on her eggs and I have been watching them for about 2 weeks. she made a beautiful nest and my male duck seems to be staying close to her vicinity. I have other female ducks, chickens and rabbits which also have access to the nest. what should I do? should I try to separate mom/eggs from the other animals? will the other animals hurt the ducklings? some help please...I don't want anything to happen to the eggs!!

You can certainly separate if it makes you feel better. But, be warned, it may create more problems than the original one. She may decide to quite from the stress of being moved, or go all psycho on you or the other animals in your flock. If she's been left alone for the last 2 weeks and is in a safe place *I* would just leave her too it. My small bantam mommas bully my MUCH larger turkeys around when they get too close, your duck will likely do the same.
Its sort of one of those wait and see kind of things, you just have no way of knowing what might happen until it does.

Good luck with whatever you decide!
