We've been planning on letting our silkie hatch some fertile eggs for ages. She's gone broody so many times in the past and we've always had to break her, but our schedules have finally aligned and we're ready to get some fertile eggs... and then our other silkie decided she would go broody too, and in the same nesting box! So they're both sitting there, and I'm wondering, is it safe to put eggs under two hens? Should I remove one of them? What's the best way to do this?

You can give them both eggs in the same box. They will both sit on them and they'll raise the chicks together. I had a pair of buff orps do this last year and it's really fun to watch the hens split the parenting duties :)
