hatching eggs under broody hens. plz help!!!

Yes, when your hens start eating the chicks will copy them, just make sure that your chicks don't drown.

Do any of your chickens get to free range or are they in a tractor most of the time. I usually put mama and babies in a dog crate with chick feed and water for 3 days, then open the gate and she will take them out when she is ready. But she needs to stay around the others with the babies so that she and the babies will be members of the flock. A good broody will take care of them, but I don't think they would be good together in a tractor.

If you let mama hen and the babies out make sure that the chicks don't get pecked on by the flock, though a good mother hen might chase off the attackers.

Will do I appreciate the help and will cedar chips hurt the chicks

I've never used cedar chips before but cedar gives off toxic fumes and could kill the baby chicks.
